SINGAPORE, MAY 7, 2021 – Continuing the release momentum in 2021, Singaporean singer-songwriter-producer Jasmine Sokko teams up with Danish DJ-producer Faustix for on a high-octane club remix of her latest single, “MEDUSA,” available on all digital platforms worldwide today.
Since its release on March 5, 2021, “MEDUSA” has garnered over 1 million views on YouTube and over 350K streams on Spotify, landing on playlist covers for Top Hits Singapore (now renamed as Hot Hits Singapore) and Rising 65. Apple Music names the track as “an intense empowerment anthem from the synth-pop enigma” and featured Jasmine Sokko as one of the featured visionary women alongside Cardi B, Rosé from BLACKPINK, Cara Delevingne, St. Vincent and many more for their International Women's Day playlist campaign.
“’MEDUSA’ is the first single taken from my forthcoming EP due later this year, and it’s been great to see the positive response. I wanted to give this track a rejuvenated boost with a club remix that pumps up the vibe of the dark overtones on the original arrangement. It is really exciting to hear where Faustix has taken the song. And he works so fast – something that I really like and appreciate in a producer,” explains Jasmine Sokko on the remix collaboration.
"It's been an absolute pleasure working with Jasmine's vocals. She is very playful with all words and I really like that in a vocalist,” says Faustix on his experience working on the remix. “I tried doing an up-tempo track so that it can be played on all occasions; like the club, when you walk your dog or driving down the highway. Looking forward to get this one out there!"
“MEDUSA (Faustix Remix)” is now available as part of a two-track remix single, together with an extended mix on all digital platforms. This release continues Jasmine Sokko’s new prolific music phrase that will culminate as a full EP due out in the later part of 2021. More new singles are currently penciled in the coming months.
